Due to the beautiful weather we had in Spring, the harvest season at our bulb nursery started quite early this year. We began digging the first crocus bulbs on June 3rd, and continued harvesting tulip bulbs on June 8th.<\/p>\n

Depending on the weather, we are working with 1 to 3 digging machines<\/a> at the same time, in both the northern and southern bulb district in the Netherlands. Each machine can harvest 6 acres of flower bulbs per day, which is quite a logistic challenge!<\/p>\n

After harvesting the\u00a0 tulip bulbs at our Dutch bulb farm we will continue with hyacinths and finalize with daffodil bulbs in early August.<\/p>\n

Are you curious what our flower bulb crop looks like for 2020? Up till now we can tell you that this year\u2019s yield is very promising! We are digging very sound and healthy bulbs and they are the largest tulip bulbs we have seen in years!<\/p>\n

All crocus, tulip, hyacinth and daffodil bulbs from the nursery of Ruigrok Flowerbulbs<\/a> are dried, graded, cleaned and inspected<\/a> at our warehouse in De Zilk, the Netherlands. After processing, the large, saleable bulbs are packed and shipped to our customers in the United States and Canada.<\/p>\n
